From reporting to audience engagement to analytics, I enjoy learning about every aspect of a newsroom.
A look at some of my bylines.

AAJA VOICES Editor 2023
I served as an editor for the Asian American Journalism Association (AAJA) VOICES program in 2023. VOICES is a student fellowship program, where college students learn about the journalism industry and report on feature stories that are presented at the AAJA annual conference. VOICES editors are professional journalists who edit the stories and mentor the students in the program.
Alongside another editor, I co-led a team of students through each step of the reporting process, as if we were working in a professional newsroom experience. We had the students pitch to us and worked with them when their initial pitch needed clarity. Throughout the program, my goal was not only to make sure they produced a story they were proud of but also to provide advice on how. to navigate their future journalism careers.
